| The Coalition of Neighborhood Councils (CNC) is a community based organization providing resident empowerment, community development services, education completion, workforce preparation, and placement services to court and gang affiliated out-of-school youth in southeastern San Diego, through The Southeastern Community Jobs Partnership. The Southeastern Community Jobs Partnership brings together CNC, Overcoming Gangs, San Diego Community College District, and Pazzaz to provide a relationship based, multi-agency, integrated approach to service delivery that leads to permanent employment and self sufficiency for out of school youth who have been involved in gang activity and/or the juvenile justice system.
The CNC also serves as the lead agency on the Morse/Southeastern Gang Prevention Initiative, a school-based gang prevention program providing year round activities that include paid work experience, career exploration, and educational supports infused with youth development. |
